Patent number 144,542 was issued on November 11, 1873
to Harry W. Holman of Waterloo, Iowa for a lifter

body of the spear, but when it is pulled up the wings
pivot out, grabbing and loosening the contents.

and David Williamson (No. 74,966 issued February 25, 1868).
