Reported in the June 2, 1879 issue of
The American Bookseller
:
―
New designs of ink and
mucilage stands are shown by Carter, Dinsmore & Co. The inks have patent adjustable
pen-racks in lacquered brass, while the mucilage bottles have nickel-plated caps with
wire corkscrews, which aids in drawing the cork.
Carter, Dinsmore & Co. have adopted a
patent wire cork-screw, which they now
attach to their regular ink bottles. It serves
not only to draw the cork, but makes a
convenient handle to it while it is in use.
They also have a new Reservoir Stand
which should receive the attention of the
trade.
