Queen Elizabeth II

On April 21 1926 Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born. She was the first

child of The Duke and Duchess of York, who later became King George VI and

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.

s father died she ascended to the throne on February 6, 1952. The

Queen was crowned in Westminster Abbey in London on June 2, 1953.

On November 20, 1947 the Queen was married to Prince Philip, the son of Prince

and Princess Andrew of Greece, on November 20, 1947 in Westminster Abbey in

London.

As a souvenir of the 1953 Coronation, Richards of

Sheffield produced a small two inch knife with

corkscrew depicting Queen Elizabeth II. It was sold

on a card decorated with gold foil. Richards produced

this two inch knife in several colors and, in addition

to the example depicting the Queen, they offered a

Jenny Lind knife.
