Biltmore Hotel
The 600 room Providence, Rhode Island, Biltmore Hotel was opened in 1922 by
owners John Bowman and Louis Wallick of New York City. The hotel included a
drugstore, printing shop, carpentry and upholstery shop, and a photo lab.
The Biltmore was closed in 1974 and reopened after extensive renovations in
1979. In the past several years more updating has taken place and the hotel
currently operates with 291 luxury rooms.
