An American distributor of
early models filed for a "Cork
Lift" trademark registration in
1983 with the claim that the
name was first used on the
market in 1982. It is an
interesting claim for that name
had indeed been used by
Franmara in offering the "Cork
Lift" air cork ejector in their
1978 catalog. The registrant
was Rodgers Distributing
Company, P. O. Box 1250,
Issaquah, Washington 98027.
One of Rodgers' customers
was the Port of Seattle, which
purchased promotional units
with the name silk screened
on the handles.
