Competing with Wecomatic in the cork
ejector marketplace was Metallindustrie
Denkingen Gebr. Streicher, Würtemberg,
Germany. Werner Streicher and the
Streicher Brothers were issued several
patents for cork ejectors in the 1960s. On
April 25, 1964 Werner submitted his first
application for a
Pneumatischer Korkenzieher
(Pneumatic Cork Puller). Patent No.
1,898,341 was issued August 6, 1964 (left)
This was followed in on May 6, 1964 with
the Gebrüder Streicher's application for a
Korkenzieher mit einer Druckluftpumpe
. The
brothers were granted Patent No. 1,896,390
on July 9, 1964 (right).
