Valezina
Butterfly corkscrew provides the ideal method to
withdraw a cork without disturbing the sediment; also
as illustrated, but made in hardwood.
That was the sales copy in a 1954 catalog from Gaskell
and Chambers Ltd., Birmingham, England,
accompanying a picture of the Valezina corkscrew. The
Valezina was offered at 19 shillings, 3 pence while the
hardwood model was offered at 5 shillings.
