In the details of prior art for 1994 Patent Number 06-018297, we learn “As a cap

opener for extracting cork stoppers, such as wine, the so-called T character type of

thing which prepared the screw in the center section of the handle is common. This

is the thing of the structure which pulls a screw lump and a handle for the screw

formed spirally to a cork stopper, and draws out a cork stopper by rotating a

handle.”

And what about Champagne cork removers? In

1995 Patent Number 07-069394, we get this

elaborate background on prior inventions:

The

corkscrew machine of the type with which

versatility differed from the former is proposed.

However, the spiral cork engagement section is

used for many corkscrew machines, and they

are used in order to extract the cork of the type

inserted in the neck of a bottle until the outside

edge of a cork serves as the same plane

substantially with the neck of a bottle. This

type of corkscrew machine cannot be easily

used, in order to extract the cork of the

champagne bottle type which has the head where it is the cork used for a

champagne bottle, and the outside edge of a slightly large diameter at least was
