If You Knew Suze
In 1885 Fernand Moureaux created a new aperitif which was not wine based like
most aperitifs on the market at the time. He made

by distilling the roots
of gentian. In 1889 the Suze trademark was born and in 1896 Henri Carries joined
Moureaux to design a long amber Suze bottle with a collar which has survived to
now. The Suze bottle and trademark were immortalized in 1912 in Picasso
