the forties, fifties, and sixties. Among the many inventors were Millard Weida and
William Kochner, St. Louis, Missouri for Knapp Monarch; Walter Freygang, Essex Falls,
New Jersey with bulbs for Kidde Manufacturing; Philip Alexander, Brooklyn, New York;
Charles Whittaker Roberts, London and Rene Rousset, Wimbledon for Sparklets; and
Ronald Quam, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
